Photographer Style

Last year I took up the chance to become an International exchange student and received the amazing opportunity to study in America. 

One of the classes I signed up for during my college semester in Western Connecticut State University was a introductory black and white film photography class. I had actually never fully known how to take a film photo of my own, develop it and process it on photographic paper all in the dark room. I loved it! 

Each week we got a particular topic or word and each student had to interpret the word in whatever creative way they felt was achievable! E.g- Light, Shadow, Object, Train station, Line and Photographer Style etc. I developed a close bond within this class and esp with my new favourite teacher Ellyse! She taught me so much from my time there and it was a great insight into how to broaden my skills through f-stops, aperture, DOF and learning something new.‏

These particular images are from a project using the style of a photographer of my choice. I chose 3 amazing Photographers- Weston, Man-Ray and Harry Callahan as my inspiration.
